Why consult with the experience effect?

The Experience Effect exists because representation doesn’t improve through initiatives — it improves when organisations understand what women are really experiencing, and when leaders have the insight, confidence and governance to act on it.

I bring something different to this work. Thirty years of lived experience in policing taught me how systems, behaviours and culture shape who joins, who stays and who progresses. I’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and what happens when organisations lose focus. I’ve also seen the value women bring when they are supported to thrive: trust, confidence, professionalism, problem‑solving, innovation and the ability to navigate complexity with clarity and calm.

The Experience Effect combines that lived experience with practical organisational insight. I help leaders see the signals their organisation is sending — intentionally or not — and understand how recruitment, onboarding, behaviours and governance are shaping their talent pipeline. This isn’t training. It’s not a programme. It’s a clear, honest look at what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what needs to change.

Every organisation is different, which is why the support I offer is bespoke. Whether you need a focused review, deeper diagnostics or ongoing advisory support, the work is shaped around your values, your aspirations and the culture you want to build.

The Experience Effect helps organisations create environments where women can join, stay and lead — and where leaders have the insight and confidence to make that possible.
